Biennale was wonderful!
.
What did we see?
- HUGE CREEPY MAGGOTS! yonghui was super scared! Haha. So was I, to be honest.
- Interesting forms of art, like 'Beyond Recognition', which was a message inscribed on landscapes
- 'I'm not expensive' which Yonghui and I totally walked by it before realised the image could move! Hahhaa.
- I liked 'Singapore' too! It was a Google Earth image-map of Singapore that as installed as a wall-to-wall floor covering, and visitors could stick post-its on the areas they wanted! I couldn't find my house (even though YH found hers), so I settled for MGS instead since HC was so crowded and full of post-its.
- Many more, but I'm senile and lazy.

I liked 'Blackfield' the best. It consisted of 10 000 tiny metal flowers and plants, each intricate in pattern and wondrous to behold. The side with colour is enough to delight you, get down on your knees and just admire it, while the black side resembles a scorched landscape against the white sand, almost like a wasteland.
.
Every flower/plant was unique in design!
It's simply amazing when you see it. I wanted to touch it so badly.
.

This was the black side. I loved the shadows they cast against the sand. It's like seeing a mini forest, mysteriously, impossibly beautiful.

Later we met Jillian and Nicolette and we basically just whined about PW and ran a thorough cross-examination on the various characters in our class!!! Hahhaa. FUN! Girls outing is the best! It's interesting to see the different sides of people. Then I went Kino with YH, which was a mistake because NOW I WANT TO GO KINO ON SATURDAY but I don't have time! :(
