Mama Mia! Here I go again
My my, How can I resist you!
I was searching up the meaning of it, and I managed to gather that it is an exclamation of some sort, perhaps involving the meaning of mother in it... how apt. Anyway it was utterly bewitching!
I expected to just enjoy the songs while ignoring the storyline, but I was in for a surprise. There was eye candy (I shamelessly appreciated the old woman - young boy flirtation), and the scenic views (which were hopefully mostly not digitally enhanced). Of course, the music is really something to rave about!
I found myself frequently on the verge of applause, or getting up to dance, especially when I heard the short guitar intersperses in "Dancing Queen", that made me squirm in my seat because some part of me was dying to react to it. The songs were achingly familiar, even the harmonies and musical decorations were closely modelled after the originals. Now I know what people mean by universal appeal and evergreen melodies. I could probably hear "Winner Takes It All" in greek, arabian, and dialect, and still relish in its rendition. I have nothing to complain. Except maybe can Stellan Skarsgård please not flash his butt on screen without prior warning?
P.S sorry fishy I couldnt resist it! Mama mia!
